MG Ramachandran is one actor who knew how to win the hearts of his fans and maintained it till his last breath. Even today, MGR stills manages to have a strong fans association; after nearly two and half decades of his death.
Noted actor and journalist Cho Ramasamy seems to have said that one actor who enjoys such a huge fan following today something on the lines of MGR is Ajith. He however points out that MGR still remains a phenomenon and people worship him. Ajith Kumar has won many hearts with his humbleness and behaving like an ordinary man.
He never jumps the line and prefers to stand behind serpentine queues to cast his vote, unlike other stars. The one reason for his fan following is that he is a role model as a gentleman citizen, and has constantly refused to cash in on his stardom. Ajith Kumar even stunned last year by disbanding his fans association after he found that some of the group members used his name for getting political mileage.
