You have voted and chosen the Bangalore Times Most Desirable Men of 2012. We talk to Sudeep, who tops the list.
How does it feel to be voted the most desirable man of 2012? Well, I’d be more happy if I got to know who all find me desirable (laughs). But on a serious note, I am not just being modest when I say, I am feeling blessed.
What about you do you think makes you desirable? I wouldn’t know, and I wouldn’t want to know. Let it remain a mystery.
Besides looks, what else do you think makes a man desirable? I think it has to do with the way a man behaves, even when one is at the peak of one’s success.
Do you find yourself obesessing about the way you look? How many times a day do you look in the mirror? The mirror is any actor’s best friend.
You’re reaching 40, yet you can give any newcomer a run for his money. What’s the secret? I’m glad you didn’t say a run for their women (laughs). Basically, all the newcomers love me. I guess they want me to be around for a bit longer. We hang out together. With them around, I can never be my actual age.
How do you handle female adulation? I am aware that there are a lot of female fans and audiences for my films, and I am thankful for that. It feels good to know that your work is being appreciated.
You have been known to experiment with your looks for your films. Anything new coming up? There is very little done and lots more to be achieved.
Personally, who is more handsome than you in the Kannada film industry? In my opinion, the late Dr Vishnuvardhan was the most handsome star that the Kannada film industry has seen.
